Bill is an organisation development consultant, researcher, teacher, speaker and author of eight books and numerous articles. Subjects include leadership, the shadow side, innovation and corporate social responsibility. His pioneering work on systemic leadership applies the discipline of systems thinking to leadership, viewing leadership as an organisational resource that needs managing if leadership is to flourish. His recent work is published in The Search for Leadership: An Organisational Perspective and the Systemic Leadership Toolkit (Triarchy Press).

Bill was formerly responsible for HR strategy and planning at British Airways. He was part of the turnaround team, where he worked with W Warner Burke, the internationally renowned OD consultant and scholar. He studied organisation change with Professor Gerard Egan in Chicago. He is a Visiting Fellow at Cass Business School London, a Fellow of the RSA, and a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
